Industry Days at Kosmorama are our most important meeting place of the year for everyone looking to get better acquainted with the film industry in Norway and Trondheim. Filmmakers, audiences, press, politicians, students, and businesses come together for in-depth explorations of the film- and gaming industry. Industry Days include specific events each day throughout the week.

Industry accreditation is not required to attend Kosmorama's industry events. However, if you purchase industry accreditation, you will receive a promo code that can be used to obtain free entry to the events during Kosmorama's industry days. The Industry accreditation also includes a festival pass to Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival.

The Industry Days in 2024 are organized in collaboration with Midtnorsk filmsenter, Filminvest, Næringsforeningen i Trondheim, Sparebank 1 SMN, Øra Studio, Trondheim kommune, Trøndelag fylkeskommune, Adresseavisen, Fritt Ord, Virke produsentforeningen, StartNTNU NGA, Work Work and Nord Universitet.

Accreditation is priced at 910 kr in 2024, this includes admission to all regular screenings at the festival, as well as industry events.

Note: To be eligible for industry accreditation you must be professionally associated with the film industry on a regional, national or global basis.

Masterclass: FILM MUSIC COMPOSITION WITH RAYMOND ENOKSEN

Raymond Enoksen is one of the most successful and innovative film composers in Norway today. He has been involved in numerous film and TV productions in recent years, known for his broad compositional palette. Currently, he is highly relevant as the composer for the feature film "Hammarskjöld," which has its Norwegian premiere and serves as the opening film during Kosmorama on the same day.

The masterclass is a collaboration between Norsk Filmmusikk, Midtnorsk Filmsenter, Kosmorama, Tempo, and Øra Studio.

Seven new film and game projects will be pitched throughout the day. Additionally, the event will feature presentations and discussions on how artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing the possibilities in audiovisual production. How can AI be employed as a creative artistic tool to craft new universes and narratives? What challenges does it pose for human autonomy and creativity? And in what ways can individuals take responsibility for its ethical use?

The event is a collaboration between Kosmorama, Midtnorsk filmsenter, Filminvest, Næringsforeningen i Trondheim, Sparebank 1 SMN, Trondheim kommune and Trøndelag fylkeskommune.

Do you want to influence the future strategy for the audiovisual field in Trøndelag? In connection with the revision of the Regional Strategy for Film and Audiovisual Expression, Trøndelag County Municipality and Trondheim Municipality invite stakeholders in the audiovisual industry, as well as relevant actors from the support system, to a consultation seminar.

The consultation seminar will be led by the Director of Culture and Public Health in Trøndelag County Municipality, Anne Marit Mevassvik. Three industry stakeholders will introduce the discussion. Light refreshments will be provided.

Workshop with Jannicke Mikkelsen FNF

There will be a workshop with Jannicke Mikkelsen on Thursday 7. March. Jannicke Mikkelsen is one of Norway's foremost cinematographers and an international pioneer in virtual production. She has collaborated with David Attenborough on the very first 360-degree underwater documentaries and directed a 360-degree live music video in 3D for the legendary band QUEEN. Mikkelsen also holds the Guinness World Record for the fastest circumnavigation of the Earth via the North and South Poles, a journey that was broadcasted live to 55 million viewers from 43,000 feet.

Edith Carlmar is historically one of the strongest female voices in Norwegian cinema. Kosmorama celebrates International Women's Day with a symposium in her name! The Edith Carlmar Award is presented during the festival to professional female filmmakers in Norway who have demonstrated integrity, fearless innovative ability, and a willingness to break boundaries. This years winner is Ingvil Giske. We have invited previous winners and Carlmar experts to share thoughts on women's filmmaking today, with Carlmar's pioneering work as a backdrop.

Games are both culture, industry, export business, and a provider of world-leading expertise in innovation and technology. Games are the cultural expression that is currently experiencing the greatest commercial growth and are also one of Norway's largest cultural export industries.
On March 8th at Olavshallen, you can experience GameExpo in the Olavshallen Foyer, the appeal "The gaming industry needs more hot men" in the Olavshallen Foyer, and the award ceremony for the Game Award and START NGA in the Olavshallen Small Hall.
