Program Series: Music Film

Trondheim is one of the most exciting places in the country for anyone interested in music. We have a range of concert venues, exciting festivals, and countless enthusiasts dedicated to making our city an even better music hub. As a tribute to everyone who lives and breathes music, we have put together a program series consisting of music films about influential artists, bands, and trends in the music world. Joining us in this endeavor is one of the city's major music institutions: Rockheim - The National Museum of Popular Music. Together, we have selected five different films that shed light on how music shapes our lives.

THE STONES AND BRIAN JONES

The Rolling Stones is undoubtedly one of the most legendary rock bands in history. This documentary explores the key to the band's success and reveals how founder Brian Jones was left in the shadows of history. Brian Jones was a creative musical genius but struggled with serious drug abuse and met a tragic fate. In 1969, he was excluded from the band he had started, and just one month later, he drowned in a swimming pool.

The screenings Wednesday 6. March 19:00 and Saturday 9. March 16:15 will be introduced by Bjørnar Bruket, Music librarian at Rockheim.
