TEASER - 5 FILMS TO BE SHOWN AT KOSMORAMA 2024
To get ready for the program announcement on 15. February, we are excited to share a whopping 5 new films coming to this years festival with you! Among the films today are several treats from our program series Relations, Society and Documentary. The films origins range from New Zealand to Brazil and France, so rest assured there is a wide range to chose from from all over the world in this list.

In a suburb of Paris, dilapidated municipal blocks are being demolished one by one, without consideration for alternative options for the residents. In a block slated for demolition, tenant Haby leads the fight to preserve the homes of the families living there. The main opponents are the newly appointed mayor and family doctor Pierre, who quickly discovers that he has bitten off more than he can chew in this role.

In this personal documentary, Brazilian filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho returns to his hometown of Recife. Times have changed, people have passed away, and many of the local cinemas have closed down. By delving into the cinematic ruins of the city, memories of a bygone era are stirred, and the director reconstructs his own subjective map of the city.
