General information - Kosmorama 2024
At Kosmorama, there's a lot happening during the festival week, and plenty to familiarize yourself with if you're attending the festival! Here we've gathered everything you need to know about the festival, tickets, the audience award, and more to ensure you have a great festival experience from March 4th to 10th.

The info booth
Kosmoramas info booth can be found in the Foyer of Prinsen Kinosenter.
Here you can get your accreditation and festival passes, look at merch and get answers for your Kosmorama related questions. Please note that tickets for screenings can be bought in the cinema-kiosk, not the info booth.
The info booth has the following opening times:
Thursday 29. February 15.00-19.00
Friday 1. March 15.00-19.00
Saturday 2. March 13.00-17.00
Sunday 3. March 13.00-17.00
Festival week: 10.00-21.00
Festivalkaféen
After having received dazzling reviews last year, the wonderful group of people from Pala, Gola, Hegstad Blakstad and Bar Moskus are back to serve food, sweets, drinks and great vibes at the festival café during Kosmorama 2024! We are delighted to finally be able to share the details of this years festival café with you.
The festival café in the foyer at Prinsen has the following opening hours during the festival 4.-10. March 2024.
Monday: 13.30-20.30
Tuesday - Thursday: 09.30-20.30
Friday - Saturday: 09.30 - 00.00
Sunday: 09.30 - 20.30
From 09:30-12:00 the café will offer a selection of baked goods and black coffee, and the full menu will be available from 12:00. On Friday and Saturday the cafés bar is open throughout the evening for events in the foyer where all are welcome to join.
Tickets
At Kosmorama, you choose wether you want to watch just one, or many films! Single tickets are released for sale when the festival program is announced in February. Tickets can be bought online and in Trondheim Kino's outlets (Prinsen kino, Nova kino or Trondheim Torg.)
Do you want to watch multiple films? Buy a mulity-buy discount card that gives you access to either 5 or 10 films, or a festival pass at several different campaigns throughout the year. Discounts for festival passess is announced through our newsletter, our website and social media.
Single tickets can be purchased digitally on kosmorama.no or at the outlets at Prinsen kino, Nova kino or Trondheim Torg.
Multi-buy discount cards can be purchased with 5 or 10 clips. The cards are cheaper than buying 5 or 10 single tickets. You can use the card for any screening, apart from the opening film and special event screenings. The cards are not personal and can be shared with friends and family. Maybe you can give a cinema experience to a friend? The cards are available digitally and can be purchased at kosmorama.no or trondheimkino.no.
This ticket category will be available closer to the festival
Multi-buy discount card tickets for screenings at the Cinemateket can only be purchased online and at Trondheim Kino's ticket outlets. These can be purchased up to 30 minutes before the start of the screening. Multi-buy discount card tickets cannot be purchased over the counter at the Cinemateket.
The festival pass gives you access to all ordinary screenings at the festival and allows you to collect tickets for the screenings you want to go to. This can be done at kosmorama.no, trondheimkino.no or at the outlets at Prinsen kino, Nova kino or Trondheim Torg. The festival pass is personal and cannot be used by others.
When you buy a festival pass, you automatically become a part of Kosmoklubben ("the Kosmo club"). This gives you access to tickets before everyone else, exclusive premieres, free breakfast during the festival and other exciting offers throughout the year.
NOTE: The festival pass code is sent manually and therefore does not come automatically after ticket purchase. There will be some waiting time between the purchase of the festival pass and the dispatch of your festival pass code.
Early-bird is small amount of festival passes for the following year that are put up for sale right after the end of this year's festival. These are cheaper than ordinary festival passes
Age limits: Kosmorama has a general age limit of 15 years. Age limits for specific films is announced in the physical program and online.
The Audience Award
In the program series New Directors, Kosmorama has dedicated its competition program to the filmmakers of the future, the new voices in the vast global film world whom we believe will make a significant mark in the years to come.
In this program series, it's not just about the quality of the films; the directors must also demonstrate that they have something extra as storytellers and/or film artists. Kosmorama's program committee has collectively nominated the ten films competing for the New Directors Award.
The films in this competition program are also in the running for the Audience Award, which you can contribute to by voting after watching the films at the festival.
This is how you vote for the Audience Award
Find a ballot and rate the film you've just watched. You can participate in the draw for a Festival Pass to Kosmorama 2024 by writing your name and email on the ballot. Drop the ballot in one of the blue ballot boxes.
Bar 2
Prinsen 2 has a liquor license during Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival. If you wish to purchase something to drink for a film screening in Prinsen 2, you can buy this in the festival café and bring it in to the auditorium. The café area in the foyer of Prinsen also has a liquor license.
