Spring breakers A24

Spring Breakers is a blend of drama, thriller, and comedy with cult film potential, directed by Harmony Korine. Four college girls are determined not to miss out on the wild party that is spring break—even if it means committing a robbery to fund the trip.

They head off to sunny Florida for the ultimate spring break experience, and at first, it’s all fun and games. But after a night of wild partying, they’re arrested for noise complaints, partying, and suspected drug use. Hungover and dressed only in bikinis, they find themselves in court facing a judge.

Out of nowhere, a mysterious figure named Alien appears—a local gangster who bails them out and takes them under his wing. What follows is a wild and unpredictable ride. Alien may be a criminal, but he’s also the kind who can get sentimental and play piano by the pool.

Where to watch: Trondheim Kino

Hjem, Kjære Hjem (Home, Sweet Home) and director Frelle Petersen took the Kosmorama audience by storm during the 2025 festival. If you missed it then, you now have another chance — the film premieres at Trondheim Kino on June 27!

In Hjem, Kjære Hjem (Home, Sweet Home), we follow Sofie, a 32-year-old single mother searching for a fresh start in life. Along with her 10-year-old daughter, Clara, she moves to a small community in Southern Jutland and begins working as a home care assistant. Sofie finds purpose in the connections she builds with the elderly she helps, and in a job that gives her the sense of making a difference. But the work comes with its challenges. When a baseless complaint from a family member turns her life upside down, Sofie must juggle her care for others with the responsibility of raising her daughter.

The film explores, with insight and warmth, what happens when compassion fails the very people we care most about, and it sensitively portrays the struggles we all may face in our search for belonging and renewed purpose.

Hjem, Kjære Hjem (Home, Sweet Home) is the latest work from director Frelle Petersen, known for his heartfelt yet painful human dramas. Petersen — who won the Audience Award at Kosmorama 2020 for Uncle — continues his thematic trilogy on human relationships, which also includes Forever (Resten af livet). Though part of a trilogy, this film stands fully on its own and can easily be enjoyed without prior knowledge of the earlier works.
