These Oscar nominated films will be shown at Kosmorama 2024
Oscar season is in full swing, and Kosmorama are happy to announce that four Oscar nominated films are on the program for this year. The winners are announced night to 11. March, right after the festival ends. Therefore we recommend watching all of these on the big screen while you can, because there might be one or more future Oscar winners on this list!
The Teacher's Lounge
The German film The Teachers' Lounge is being screened as part of the program series Relations and is nominated in the category of Best International Film. The Teachers' Lounge had its premiere at the Berlin Film Festival last year. Since then, it has been shown at several other major film festivals and received praise from both critics and audiences.
Io Capitano
Io Capitano is the latest film by director Matteo Garrone and is featured in Kosmorama's program series Society. The film is nominated for an Oscar for Best International Film along with The Teachers' Lounge.
Robot Dreams
Robot Dreams is a funny and heartwarming animated film about friendship, loss, and the inevitability of change. The film is nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Feature. It also won the award for Best Animated Feature at the European Film Awards 2023.
Four Daughters
Four Daughters is a part of Kosmorama's Documentary program series. The film won the award for Best Documentary at the Cannes Film Festival and is also nominated for an Oscar.
