YOU CAN NOW SUBMIT NOMINATIONS FOR NTNU FILMPRIS 2025

NTNU Filmpris (NTNU Film awards) aims to honour those who work to promote film production in Trøndelag, and who through their own activities are contributing to further visibility and developing the film industry in Trondheim and Trøndelag. You can now nominate candidates for the award!

The prize aims to stimulate and incentivise further development, and contribute to a robust, creative and innovative film industry-environment in the region. The prize is directed towards singular people and companies who produce films, who work and live in the region of Trøndelag. The prize is based on professional excellence, development and innovation.

Criteria:

  • Must be engaging in activities promoting film from Trøndelag.

  • Must show innovative thinking within the regional film industry .

  • Must be able to show to tangible results.

  • Must have potential to develop favourably for the regional film industry.

  • You can nominate both individual people, companies and organisations who through effort, initiative, creativity and ability to execute have meant a lot to the industry or to create new opportunities.

  • You can nominate based on professional personal effort on specific areas such as manuscript, directing, photo, sound, lighting, editing and production.

  • You can not nominate your own company or a closely related individual that may result in your own personal gain.

Rewards:

  • Every year a reward of 20 000NOK is given to the winner. Payment is done trough Kosmorama.

  • After the end of the year, a short report on how the reward has been spent and what it has resulted in is to be submitted.


Nomination and award:

  • The last day to submit nominations for NTNU Film Awards is 31. December.

  • Both the general public and industry can submit candidates they think deserve the award. A short reasoning for the submission (maximum 1 A4-page) is to be sent by e-mail to asbjorn@kosmorama.no by Sunday 31. December at 23:59. The jury reserves the right to add their own suggestions to the list of nominated candidates.

  • The winner is announced prior to Kosmorama 2025. More info about the award ceremony coming soon.

  • Sven Østgaard – University lecturer, institute of art and media science NTNU

  • Eli Gjerde – CEO, Midtnorsk filmsenter

  • Eric Vogel – Producer and representative from the active film industry.

  • Silje Engeness – Festival director Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival
