Kosmorama 2021 will happen!

We live in a strange time, and much is uncertain for all of us. Conditions are very challenging for the cultural industry, as they have been for some time now. With all the restrictions that has been introduced since March 2020, many cultural events has been impossible to go through with. The cinemas have periodically been closed.

There is much we don't know about the upcoming months, but as per now it is not an option to cancel Kosmorama 2021. Even in the case of a new lockdown, we are set on finding a way to go through with the festival. Many has done so before us – with great success, even.

Right now, it is possible to organize a physical festival in March. The question is rather how big the festival can be and how many people in attendance we can plan for. With precaution and adjustments, we believe that we can make a film festival that will be a safe and wonderful happening for the audience. After all, there is nothing we want more than to create valuable film experiences for you guys!

Of course, we will follow all the regulations and restrictions that exist at the time of the festival. Here are some of the measures we are taking as per now:

• One vacant seat between all cohorts: The rule that says you have to keep a one meter distance to all other visitors will be kept intact. Among the measures that will secure this, is a continuation of the «vacant seat»-policy that we have become used to seeing at cinemas and theatres these last months
• A reduced amount of festival passes: To secure that the audience is capable of seing as much film as possible even though the maximum capacity is decreased, we have limited the amount of festival passes available for Kosmorama 2021. That has lead to the fact that we are sold out of festival passes, but it is still possible to buy single tickets and multi buy discount cards that can be applied at all regular screenings
• Registration of contact information: We will register name and contact information of all attenders at our screenings and events so that tracing of infection will be efficient, if needed

Soon, we will be able to share news about the festival and the film program with out, and that we are very excited about! We promise to give you a festival that puts quality cinema in the front seat, and we hope that new and future visitors of Kosmorama will be satisfied this year, as well <3
