Filminvest drama series pitch
Filminvest is launching a new round of pitching during the Kosmorama International Film Festival 2026. The prize of NOK 200,000 will go toward script development for a drama series that is thematically rooted in the Trøndelag and/or Innlandet region. The competition is open to professional screenwriters residing in Norway.
Filminvest’s pitching award of NOK 200,000 will in 2025 be awarded to a drama series concept that:
-
is thematically rooted in the Trøndelag/Innlandet region
-
is intended to be produced in the region with support from the regional film industry
-
can demonstrate strong audience potential both regionally and nationally
The pitch is based on submitted projects, with three pre-selected concepts receiving eight minutes each to present their idea during the Kosmorama International Film Festival on Tuesday, March 3, 2026. The jury will then have seven minutes to ask questions to each project, which will be evaluated based on originality, relevance, and potential for realization. The members of the jury have not yet been confirmed. This article will be updated as soon as the jury is in place.
The NOK 200,000 award must be used for the development of the winning project’s script. For the project to qualify for further support, it must have an agreement with a regional producer/co-producer and documented interest from a distributor.
The deadline for submitting a project is January 20, 2026. Submissions should be sent to fond@filminvest.no. Please submit a short project description/pitch of no more than 400 words (one A4 page), as well as a CV before the deadline. Mark the submission with: Pitch Filminvest 2026. The project you apply with must not have previously received funding from Filminvest. The project may be in development with a producer, but the application must be submitted by the screenwriter.
