Masterclass With Raymond Enoksen and the film Hammarskjöld

Welcome to a screening of Hammarskjöld and a masterclass with composer Raymond Enoksen!

Where: Prinsen 6
When: Friday 6. March 12:00-15:00

Why do the opening themes from Olsenbanden or Fleksnes instantly make us smile—and how would the shower scene in Psycho feel if it were gently underscored by Vivaldi?

For more than twenty years, composer Raymond Enoksen has been one of Norway’s leading creators of music for film and television. His work includes the music for Lars Monsen’s programmes, the NRK series Atlantic Crossing, the opening themes for last year’s FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, and the award-winning score for Hammarskjöld (2023). In this talk, Enoksen offers fascinating insight into how he approaches the art of combining sound and image.

Following the lecture, the film Hammarskjöld will be screened, and coffee and pastries will be served.

The film introduces us to the Swedish diplomat Dag Hammarskjöld, who in 1961 has only one year left of his term as Secretary-General of the United Nations. One final effort is required to mediate peace and unity in a divided Congo, with the Cold War as the international backdrop.

The screening is a collaboration between Kosmorama and DKSS.
Tickets go on sale on 13 February.
