We are now accepting nominations for the NTNU Film Award 2023

The NTNU Film Prize will focus on actors who work to promote Trønder film production and who, with the help of their own activities, help to highlight and develop the film professional environment in the Trondheim and Trøndelag region. You can help nominate candidates!

The award aims to stimulate and be an incentive for further development, and thus be a contribution to a robust, creative and innovative film environment in the region. The award is aimed at individuals and companies that produce films with a work platform and residence in the Trøndelag region. The award is given on the basis of outstanding professional development, talent and innovation.

Criteria:

  • The nominees must engage in activities that promote Trønder's film.

  • The nominees must have demonstrated innovation within the region's film environment.

  • The nominees must have concrete results to show.

  • The actor must have the potential to develop to the benefit of the film community in the region.

  • Individuals, companies and organizations can be nominated who, through effort, initiative, creativity and ability to implement, have meant a lot to the environment or to the creation of new opportunities.

  • It can be nominated on the basis of professional personal effort in specific areas such as script, directing, photography, sound, lighting, editing and producer.

Funds:

  • A prize of NOK 20,000 (incl. VAT) is awarded annually. Payment is made via Kosmorama.

  • The funds will be used for further film professional development.

  • After the end of the year, a short report must be submitted on how the funds have been used and what this has led to.

Nomination and selection of winners:

  • The nomination deadline for the NTNU Film Prize is 5 February.

  • The public, the industry and other enthusiasts can submit candidates they think deserve the award. Short justification (max. 1 A4 page) should be sent by e-mail to ada@kosmorama.no by Sunday 5 February at 23.59. The jury also has the right to put forward proposals for candidates.

  • Winners will be chosen during Kosmorama 2023. More information about the award ceremony will follow soon.

  • Eli Gjerde – Managing Director, Midtnorsk Filmsenter

  • Silje Engeness – Director, Kosmorama Trondheim International Film Festival
