About the film:
In a rural corner of England at the end of the 19th century, Mrs. Bennet hears some exciting news. A single and wealthy young man has moved into an estate nearby, Netherfield Park. With five daughters and no fortune, she makes it her mission to marry one of them off to him.
Jane Austen’s classic Pride and Prejudice has had several film and TV adaptations over the years, and a new TV series based on the novel is currently in production and will be released on Netflix. This 2005 adaptation remains the most recent film version to date, and in 2025 it celebrates its 20th anniversary. The film features several well-known names, including Keira Knightley, Matthew Macfadyen, and Donald Sutherland in leading roles.
