Kosmokids - Kosmorama’s Family Program!
In the festival’s family program, you can enjoy magical film experiences for both young and old. This year, we are delighted to welcome a screening of the French animated film Little Amélie on Saturday, March 7!
About the film:
In this beautiful animated film, we meet Amelie, a young Belgian girl who grows up in Japan after the war. She is a gifted child who often feels misunderstood, but finds comfort in her relationship with the housekeeper, Nisho-san. At her first encounter with chocolate, a lifelong curiosity is awakened, and through Amelie’s eyes we experience the magic of nature and its quiet wonders.
This is a visual gem in which silence, wonder, and small miracles are woven together into a moving story about growing up in a foreign world. The story is told with poetic simplicity and rich visual detail. The animation is exquisite, carrying a deep emotional power. The film balances the fragile and the magnificent in the experiences of childhood. It allows us to feel both the wonder and the sorrow of growing up between childlike fantasy and adult reality in a cross-cultural society.
Little Amelie is a warm and gentle film about love, gratitude, and finding beauty in life’s ups and downs.
The film will be screened with a Norwegian dub.
