Irish culinary cinema with Austmann
We’re repeating last year’s McDonagh screening with upgraded projection equipment, presenting the quintessentially Irish The Banshees of Inisherin in the unique surroundings of Austmann Brewery & Taproom.

As in 2025, thematically fitting food will be served – this time provided by Get Baked, delivered piping hot from Lager 11 just across the street. With the meal, we’ll also serve a unique, limited-edition brew that pairs perfectly with both the screening and the food.
About the film:
Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson star in this comedy-drama about two lifelong friends, Pádraic and Colm, who live on a remote island off the western coast of Ireland. Out of the blue one of them has decided he wants to end the friendship and gives the other a desperate ultimatum.
This film elegantly creates a fine balance of humour and gravitas, due mainly to the exhilarating acting performances and solid script written by director Martin McDonagh. Added into the mix is the majestic Irish landscape, masterfully captured by cinematographer Ben Davis.
The Banshees of Inisherin reunites director Martin McDonagh with Farrell and Gleeson after the trio impressed in 2008 with the black crime comedy In Bruges. Their second collaboration resulted in a film that became acclaimed by critics and won numerous awards. The film was nominated for nine Oscars, including best film and best director.
The film will be screened in English with Norwegian subtitles.
