Gravity Racer and racing wheel-workshop at Juba Juba!
Watch the local short film Gravity Racer from inside a race car!
In collaboration with Juba Juba, we invite children to take part in a fun and creative activity where they can build their very own racing wheels using nothing but cardboard boxes, glitter, imagination, and a bit of tape. In the Kosmorama tent, simple cardboard boxes will be transformed into colorful race cars ready for adventure.
Where: Juba Juba
When: 30.-31. May
The activity is suitable for children of all ages (with a little help from adults when needed) and focuses on creativity, recycling, and play. Once the cars are finished, it’s time to get behind the wheel and prepare for an imaginative ride accompanied by film screenings! At the top of every hour throughout the day, the local short film Gravity Racer by Finn Walther will be shown. During the weekend, lead actor Niels and director Finn Walther will also stop by—and they’ll be bringing the cool gravity racer from the film!
About Gravity Racer (2025):
A fearless four-year-old sets out on a mission to conquer the steepest hill in town with his homemade gravity racer. But when courage meets gravity, he must also face the consequences of his choices. Gravity Racer explores the balance between imaginative play and children’s ability to assess risk, challenges, and boundaries. The film runs for 4 minutes and is suitable for all ages.
The event is made possible with support from Midtnorsk Filmsenter.
