About the film:
What do you do when an uncle you haven’t seen in years shows up at your door in the middle of the night?
Norwegian teacher Akam is forced to confront himself and his own cultures when he has to take in his uncle “Jens” on the sofa—without knowing when his uncle plans to leave or what has brought him there. The suspicion surrounding his uncle’s visit gradually leads to unforeseen consequences for both Akam and his uncle. Uncle Jens is a warm-hearted film about identity and family, that will both make you think and laugh. Themes such as being a second-generation immigrant, cultural clashes, and love are central to Brwa Vahabpour’s feature film debut.
Age limit: 9 years
Duration: 1h 38m
The film is in Norwegian and Kurdish, with Norwegian subtitles.
