Innsiden ut 2
Where: Trondheim Kino
Riley has recently become a teenager, and Headquarters is undergoing a surprising renovation to make room for something completely unexpected: new emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who have long managed things seemingly successfully, are a bit unsure of what to think when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she is not coming alone.
Your Name.
Where: Cinemateket
Two teenagers with completely different lives: Mitsuha lives in the quiet village of Itomori, beautifully situated between mountains and an idyllic, yet oddly circular lake, while Taki leads a much more hectic life in the bustling city of Tokyo. This is precisely the kind of life Mitsuha dreams of, and she gets to experience it in a completely unexpected way when she wakes up one morning in Taki's body. Sporadically, the teenagers swap bodies while they sleep, leading to all sorts of complications. In the hands of others, such a plot could easily become both awkward and quickly uninteresting, but with Shinkai, this is just the beginning.
Slowly, he weaves the film's many subplots into a grand and imaginative fable. It’s no wonder that Your Name. has become the biggest box office success in Japanese animated film history, even surpassing Spirited Away. Director Makoto Shinkai, who was previously known as an acclaimed auteur among enthusiasts, has now become one of the big names in anime, hailed as Miyazaki's successor. These are big shoes to fill, and it’s really an impossible comparison, as there are more differences than similarities between them in terms of the types of stories and themes they are interested in.
Flukt
Where: Streaming
Critically acclaimed animated documentary about Amin, who came to Denmark alone as a child. Today, he is a 36-year-old academic with heavy secrets.
