The production team scrambles to prevent the situation from bankrupting them. In his pursuit of the American dream, Larson’s motives are questioned—does he really have a fair game plan, or is something more deceitful at play?
The film is based on the true story of Michael Larson, and director Samir Oliveros has done his utmost to truly bring the game show to cinema audiences. Paul Walter Hauser (I, Tonya) is good in the role of the rather quirky Larson, giving the main character an emotional depth even where it is almost undeserved.
