Through the design company Artek, Alvar and Aino created iconic furniture and objects that are greatly influential on today's design and architecture. Among other things, Alvar is known for having designed Finlandia House in Helsinki as well as a residential area in the city of Seinäjoki. Outside of Finland, he was best known for his furniture design, though he has also designed student housing at MIT in Boston, an art museum in Shiraz in Iran, and housing in Zurich. Aalto is a unique in-depth exploration into the work of Alvar and Aino, and will captivate anyone who is interested in design and architecture.
