The morning after a one night stand, Yago and Giovana have awoken to the rather disturbing news of the impending appearance of a deadly pink cloud which can kill everyone in it within ten seconds. As the cloud does not kill those who are indoors, Yago and Giovana have to live in lockdown together indefinitely.
Read moreAlthough the action in The Pink Cloud will certainly ring some bells for us now in 2022, the script was actually written in 2017 and the film shot in 2019. Despite the obvious similarities with the corona pandemic, the film is first and foremost an entertaining and enchanting portrait of human ability to adapt in extreme circumstances.
The Pink Cloud is screenwriter and director Iuli Gerbase's feature film debut. The film deliberately uses music and colour in tandem, with exceptional cinematography and dynamic acting performances illustrating a unique lockdown experience.
