The traveling magician, Mr. K, checks into a hotel. Suddenly, he finds himself trapped in a Kafkaesque nightmare when he cannot find his way out the next morning. As he searches for an exit, he encounters a series of strange characters who either live or work at the hotel. At the same time, it seems as though the hotel itself is alive and breathing. What is happening to the walls? And why does a marching band appear in the corridor every time Mr. K thinks he is close to escaping?
Mr. K is a surreal drama and Crispin Glover plays the title role. Among the hotel's guests we also find a rather special head chef played by Bjørn Sundquist.
The film is Norwegian-Dutch Tallulah H. Schwab's debut film and premiered at the renowned film festival in Toronto in 2024. The director is coming to Kosmorama and the film is included in our competition program, New Directors.
