Read moreThis is a powerful and stylish debut film from Amjad Al Rasheed. He addresses issues related to women's rights through a compelling narrative with both tension and nuanced characters. The film balances exceptionally well between the personal and political dimensions. Another star quality of the film is Mouna Hawas's brilliant interpretation of the lead role. Many will also remember her from previous Kosmorama films such as In Between (2016) and A Gaza Weekend (2022).
Inshallah a Boy was the first Jordanian film to be showcased at the Cannes Film Festival. Since its premiere, it has received both awards and acclaim from audiences at film festivals around the world.
