Yoshito is a freelance writer facing financial difficulties, to the point he is in danger of being evicted from his own home. One day he gets the chance to write about a subject he knows all about from his childhood - yakiniku. This brings back fond memories, which gives him the courage to take on the task and at the same time re-establish contact with his mother. Food Luck is a story about family, self-confidence and not least, mind-blowing food experiences.

Jimon Terakado writes and directs the film, and it really shines through that he is both a comedian and a food enthusiast. Japan's culinary culture is a phenomenon celebrated all over the world and yakiniku, which is central to this film, is becoming increasingly popular internationally.

Literally translated, yakiniku means "grilling meat", and Terakado has really thrown his heart and soul into portraying this art through particularly delicate food scenes. Be prepared for scenes with perfectly grilled marbled meat that will whet your appetite!

Japanese wagyu is often referred to as the world's best and most tender steak. This is the perfect opportunity for you first to watch, and then taste real Japanese wagyu, considered a delicacy all over the world.
