The school year is coming to an end, and Abel struggles to focus on an upcoming exam. At home, Abel's life is dominated by his national conservative parents, while at school, he is hopelessly in love with his friend Janka, who, in turn, is in love with the liberal history teacher Jakab. Unwittingly, Abel finds himself in the crossfire of the political differences that characterize contemporary Hungary.
