Lauren works in a zoo which houses and protects mythical beings, so-called cryptids. When the US military discovers a baku, a dream-eating hybrid cryptid, they want to use it in order to shatter the dreams and willpower of US enemies. To avoid a catastrophe, Lauren and her friends must try to find the baku before the military beats them to it.
