Saturday 9. March both producer Dag Hoel and director Magnus Skatvold will be at Kosmorama to hold a short introduction before the screening at 16:00. They will also be present for a Q&A after the screening.

About the film:

Hometown – Stories from a Century was the opening film in 2018 and became one of the biggest audience successes in Kosmorama's history. It goes without saying that this film is on our program when we celebrate the 20th Kosmorama.

The film is a documentary journey based on photoes from Trondheim from 1906 to the 1980s. It depicts the city's and its inhabitants' passage through time, with both well-known and unknown voices narrating how the city shaped their lives. Among the storytellers are Odd Reitan, Anne B. Ragde, Liv Ullmann, and Ulf Risnes.

Behind the camera, there are also plenty of people from Trøndelag. Magnus Skatvold directed the film, with Dag Hoel as the producer. The music is composed by Kristoffer Lo and performed by the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. Howtown is a tribute to the city and a nostalgic gift to the entire Trondheim region.
