Witch Club Satan og HEX Prosessen rundt dokumentar om feministisk svartmetall

During Trondheim Calling, we are collaborating with Rockheim and Norsk Filmmusikk on the conference session Witch Club Satan and HEX – The Process Behind a Documentary on Feminist Black Metal.

Filmmaker Maja Holand presents the story behind the groundbreaking music documentary about Witch Club Satan in conversation with museum educator Kristian Krokfoss.

Gain a unique insight into the feminist performance art project and black metal band Witch Club Satan, which committed to a three-year pact and immediately stirred attention and controversy. The film is a work in progress, making it both entertaining and educational to learn how a creative work evolves over several years.

After the talk, we highly recommend checking out the exhibition "Bad Vibes – The Sound of Emotions in Norwegian Black Metal." Delegates at Trondheim Calling 2025 have free access to Rockheim throughout the festival.

About the Exhibition

Norwegian black metal explores the darkness in humanity and nature, filled with discomfort at every level. Are you brave enough to confront the unease?

Today, the distinct sound of Norwegian black metal is recognized worldwide. From humble beginnings in small-town bedrooms as a rebellion against the safe and conventional, black metal has grown into a global and tight-knit counterculture.

Step into a world of intense emotions, drive, and bad vibes.
