Transform: The Sami Song of Survival

The Sami Song of Survival is a powerful documentary about Sámi resilience, identity, and the struggle for cultural survival in the face of historical and contemporary forms of colonialism.

The film follows Sámi voices from Sápmi, showing how Indigenous communities continue to fight for their rights, language, and traditions. Through personal stories, artistic expression, and activism, the documentary explores the consequences of centuries of marginalization and cultural oppression. At the same time, it highlights the strength, creativity, and resilience of Sámi culture.

Director Iara Lee creates an intimate and engaging portrait of a people determined not to let their history and identity disappear. The film is both a testament to resistance and a celebration of cultural endurance.
