About the film:
1970s Brazil is a dangerous place to stand on the left. The military junta has tightened its grip, and fear blankets the country. In these turbulent times, engineer Marcelo returns to Recife to reunite with his son – but the peace he seeks proves to be an illusion. As the actions of his past catch up with him, it becomes clear that, almost by accident, he has become a man of interest to the regime.

In a landscape where the colors of Carnival clash with the darkness of the state, an intense and deeply human drama unfolds, exploring loyalty, survival, and the thin line between guilt and innocence.
