Mandagsfilmen on 5. January is Marty Supreme.
In Marty Supreme, award-winning Timothée Chalamet plays the role of Marty Mauser—a young, charismatic dreamer who embarks on a hectic and unforgiving journey to fulfill his lifelong goal of international fame. Marty’s quest for honor and glory takes him on a slightly unhinged ride through 1950s New York, Paris, London, Cairo, and Tokyo, where nothing is sacred, and where family and friendships are sacrificed as he burns bridges—often while standing on them himself.
Chalamet has established himself as one of the most popular actors of his generation, with critically acclaimed performances in Call Me by Your Name, Little Women, Wonka, and most recently A Complete Unknown, in which he portrayed a young Bob Dylan. Alongside him we find, among others, Gwyneth Paltrow, who makes a powerful return to the big screen with this film.
The film is directed by Josh Safdie, one half of the filmmaking duo behind the critically acclaimed Uncut Gems. With Marty Supreme, he continues his signature, high-intensity filmmaking style—this time set against the vibrant backdrop of 1950s glamour, international metropolises, and an original, sports-driven story about dreams and ambition.
Every Monday at 6:00 PM, you can watch a quality film at Trondheim Cinema in collaboration with Kosmorama.
