Mandagsfilmen: Maria Montessori

The socialite Lili flees from Paris to Rome with her daughter Tina, who has a disability. There, she seeks out an institution for children with learning difficulties. Gradually, the child makes unexpected progress through the educational methods of Maria Montessori. It turns out that the two women have much to learn from each other, especially Maria, who is fighting for respect and recognition in a male-dominated world and who also has her own secrets.
