Mandagsfilmen 14 September is an early screening of Kjærast with a visit from director Erik Poppe.

Asle (Leo Magnus de la Nuez) and Gerd (Kristi-Helene Giæver Engeberg) meet in a small coastal town far west towards the sea. They have a son, and for a time their happiness is complete. But Asle, the sailor, is restless and is drawn towards the sea, while Gerd remains in the village, alone with the child (Audun Gallefoss). The distance between them grows, and the question is asked: How much distance can love tolerate?

Kjærast is directed by Erik Poppe and is based on Nobel Prize winner Jon Fosse's only original screenplay for a film. The film is a story about love and the power of longing.
