Brazil, 1971. Life pulses on the sunlit beaches of Rio de Janeiro, but in the shadows, the military dictatorship tightens its grip on the nation. Political dissidents are watched, hunted, and made to disappear without a trace. The Paiva family — Rubens, Eunice, and their five children — live in an idyllic beachside home surrounded by friends. But one day, armed men come knocking, and Rubens is taken away for interrogation. Suddenly, Eunice is left alone with the children, forced to fight with everything she has to keep her family together and seek justice for her husband.
