Arawinda Kirana is highly convincing in her role as adolescent Yuni, who experiences a shrinking world at a time when it should be expanding during the rapid transition from youth to adult.

Director Kamila Andini, known for The Mirror Never Lies (2011) and The Seen and Unseen (2017), presents a powerful coming-of-age story where tradition and modernity clash. Yuni has been nominated for a number of awards at international film festivals, winning The Platform Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2021, an award given to films with high artistic merit that also demonstrate a strong directorial vision.
