Yuni is about to complete her final year of high school and is fast approaching adulthood. She has big dreams of further education and her own future, but it is not easy to navigate through a society bound to traditions and characterised by patriarchal attitudes.

Director Kamila Andini, known for The Mirror Never Lies (2011) and The Seen and Unseen (2017), presents a powerful coming-of-age story where tradition and modernity clash. Yuni has been nominated for a number of awards at international film festivals, winning The Platform Prize at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2021, an award given to films with high artistic merit that also demonstrate a strong directorial vision.
