A film crew is set to follow the British rock band Spinal Tap on a USA tour as they release their Smell the Glove album. Time has passed the band by, and they discover they are nowhere near as popular as they thought. But with determination and low self-awareness, they crank their amps to 11 and carry on! Along the way, they must deal with, among other things, a highly problematic album cover, the inability to find their way to the concert stage, and a long line of deceased drummers.
Read moreIt's impossible not to love the members of Spinal Tap. The band is led by the blond rock god David St. Hubbins, who jeopardizes the entire tour when he brings his girlfriend along. Guitarist Nigel Tufnel is an irrepressible optimist constantly looking for ways to push the band and who may be a little enamored with David. Between these two extremes in the band, we find the calm Derek Smalls on bass. As he says, if David and Nigel are like fire and ice, his role in the band is to balance it all out. He's more like lukewarm water.
This is Spinal Tap is possibly the funniest rock film you'll ever see!
