In this vibrant comedy, we meet the pedantic and meticulous middle-aged tailor Nikos under the Greek blue sky and dazzling yellow sun.
Read moreNikos sews only for the crème de la crème of Athens – or at least he did – as the emerging national debt crisis has taken its toll, resulting in vacancy of customers and accumulating debts for the shop. Nikos’ course of action is to close the doors of the shop and to head out into the streets and seek out the customers in person. With the aid of his newly converted tailoring cart, he journeys through Athens' well-to-do neighbourhoods, around the street vendors' market and further out to the working class in the far less salubrious areas in the suburbs. Nikos’ other journey is one of self-reinvention and a rejection of ingrained traditions. From cashmere to cotton – there’s a solution for everything.
