In a suburb of Paris, dilapidated municipal blocks are being demolished one by one, without offering alternative housing for the residents. In a block slated for demolition, tenant Haby leads the fight to preserve the homes of the families there. Their main opponent is the newly appointed mayor and family doctor, Pierre, who quickly discovers that he has bitten off more than he can chew in this role.
