A young French journalist is set to interview none other than Salvador Dali. The purpose is to create a documentary about the iconic artist but attempt after attempt fails miserably. The numerous encounters with Dali are woven together with dreams and alternative realities.
Read moreFilled with amusing antics, the film paints a surreal portrait of the acclaimed yet highly eccentric artist. Not less than five actors take on the role of Dali. The result is a highly unpredictable and entertaining film, serving surprises in every brushstroke. The only thing which is not surprising is that director Quintin Depieux's distinctive style is perfect for telling a twisted and fictional story about Salvador Dali.
Daaaaaali was released just a month after Depieux's previous film: the delightful crime comedy Yannick, which also is on this year's Kosmorama program.
