At the same time, Einshøj creates an honest and heart-wrenching family portrait that is both touching and uplifting. In his quest, he discovers that the difficult times at the beginning of the 90s have affected each family member in completely different ways.

Sometimes filmmakers manage to tell their own family history with insight and humanity that makes it universally relatable. Christian Einshøj's powerful documentary succeeds exceptionally well in this regard. His humorous approach, questioning narrative voice, and curious gaze on past and present make this a thoughtful film about articulating the unsaid in close relationships.
