About the film

Sentimental Value follows actress Nora (Reinsve) and her sister Agnes (Lilleaas) as their charismatic father, Gustav (Skarsgård), suddenly reappears in their lives after a long absence. Once a well-known film director, Gustav now wants Nora to star in his big comeback film. Working with her father is the last thing Nora wants. She declines — and in steps American actress Rachel Kemp (Fanning), who arrives in Norway to play the role Gustav originally wrote for Nora.

Suddenly, the two sisters must not only deal with their father — they also have a Hollywood star wandering around their childhood home, right in the middle of the family’s personal drama.
