Five years of occupation end on May 8, 1945.
The nation's rebuilding can begin, but first, the final chapter must be written. In a dark cell at Akershus Fortress sits the man who committed the greatest betrayal of all: Vidkun Quisling. Now, he will be held accountable for his actions and the atrocities caused by Nazi ideology.

But first, he will meet with a spiritual advisor and priest, Peder Olsen. Can the priest, who himself is scarred by the brutalities of war, help the man who was on a first-name basis with Hitler find peace of mind?
