When Anni (39) gets fired from her job and has to move back into her childhood bedroom at her mother’s house in her hometown, her everyday life is turned upside down. It’s a situation that was never part of Anni’s carefully planned career or personal life. Suddenly, she’s single, broke, and unemployed. After having spent her entire adult life running from her past, she is, over the course of the summer, forced to confront everything she’s always tried to escape. Will she be able to face old friends, exes, and the ghosts of her youth, or is it easier to run from it all and return to the capital? What first seems like a catastrophe turns out to be a new opportunity—but not before she comes to terms with her past.
