Mandagsfilmen 5. February is Håndtering av Udøde by Thea Hvistendahl
On a warm summer day in Oslo, the dead awaken. Three families find themselves in an incomprehensible chaos as their loved ones come back to life. But who are they, and what do they want?
A mother dies in a car accident, and the family must deal with death and resurrection simultaneously. An elderly woman has her beloved return after burying her on the same day. A grandfather decides to help his grandchild come back to life in a desperate attempt to pull his daughter out of grief.
"Handling the Undead" is a poignant and thrilling drama about three grieving families whose greatest wish is granted – to have their loved ones back. A beautiful tale of loss and longing, but also of hope, acceptance, and a love stronger than death.
The film is written by the award-winning author John Ajvide Lindqvist, who also wrote the scripts for "Let the Right One In" and "Border" (Cannes winner 2019). The film marks Thea Hvistendahl's directorial debut.
