Mandagsfilmen: Christy

17-year-old Christy has been thrown out of his foster home and moves in with his older brother, who lives outside Cork in Ireland. It works out only so-so: Christy finds it difficult to live with a brother he barely knows, and the brother sees this as just a temporary solution. Then Christy discovers the support he has in the neighborhood.

Christy is a warm and uplifting film about community, trust, and what happens when someone is given a new chance. The film won the Audience Award at the Haugesund Film Festival: “Because the story concerns us all, the film can touch us all—sparking hope in us that it is worth standing together and creating an inclusive community, regardless of social status.”
