The monday film on 8 May is Brødrene Johansen, a documentary about brotherhood and belonging. This is a warm and slightly different story, where villagers flourish, both by breaking and preserving traditions.
On an island far to the north, inside a fjord, lies Kråkrøhamn. The Johansen family lives in the once-populous village, which now houses only 25 inhabitants. For half a century, five brothers have shared good and bad days on the family farm together with their mother and father. The fisherman Jan Ivar likes life as it has always been, while the goat farmer Idar dreams of love.
A heart-warming portrait of the brothers, and the head of the house, mother Kjellrun, which at the same time shows a northern Norwegian coastal community and the place of the traditional fishing farm in the breaking times we live in now.
