Monday film: Belle (preview)

17 year old Suzu is in high school and lives at home with her father in a small village. She is lonely and has never felt that she fits in. She feels as if she for several years has been a shadow of herself.

One day she comes across the virtual world "U" - an online-world with over 5 billion users. Here she no longer has to be Suzu, but Belle, a world-famous singer with over 200 million followers.

This leads to a demanding double life for the shy Suzu, and soon it takes an unexpected turn when the beautiful Belle meets a terrifing beast; the mystical and fascinating dragon. It is a creature that has created fear and unrest inside of the world of "U". But who is he really? Suzu decides to go on a journey to find and uncover the Dragon's identity. The journey will turn out to be greater and more important than she thought. Along with the Dragon she will soon discover new sides of herself, and come one step closer to her true identity - and one step closer to freedom.

Belle takes us to a magical universe and shows us what friendship, love and the sense of belonging means in all the worlds we live and participate in - both real and virtual. The film has received fantastic reviews and spellbound critics and audiences all over the world.
