A MAN CALLED OTTO is the story of Otto Anderson (Tom Hanks), a grumpy old man who no longer sees the meaning of life after the loss of his wife. One day, a lively young family moves into the neighborhood, and Otto meets his superior in the snarky Marisol. She challenges him to see life in another way. This is the start of an unlikely friendship that turns his world upside down. A MAN CALLED OTTO is a heartwarming and funny story about love, loss and life - and shows that you can sometimes find family in the most unexpected places.
The film is a drama-comedy based on Fredrik Backman's critically acclaimed, successful novel A MAN NAMED ABOVE, and the film of the same name.
