Batman Begins is the first film in Christopher Nolan's dark and realistic Batman trilogy. The film explores Bruce Wayne's origin and his journey to becoming Gotham City's protector, Batman. After witnessing his parents' tragic death, Wayne travels the world to understand the nature of evil before returning home to fight crime in a whole new way.

Starring Christian Bale as Batman, the film sets the standard for superhero movies with its deep, character-driven storytelling and dark vision of Gotham.
