Lets get lost

Watch films during Jazzfest 2026! From May 5–10, a series of jazz-related films will be screened at Cinemateket i Trondheim and Øra Studio.

Let’s Get Lost, Bruce Weber’s Oscar-nominated documentary, tells the story of Chet Baker and his turbulent life of “blue notes.” The film is stylishly shot in black and white and offers a vivid, sensitive portrait of the legendary jazz musician.

For many, Chet Baker embodied the “cool” era of jazz. He mainly played a soft form of bebop and was one of the few musicians in the genre equally known for his vocal performances and his trumpet playing. Over time, however, it became no secret that Baker struggled with heroin addiction, and a series of personal and legal problems turned the later part of his life into a tragic downward spiral.

The movie is shown as a collaboration between Cinemateket, Jazzfest Kosmorama International Film Festival.
