Catalog launch Hannah Ryggen Triennale

Hannah Ryggen Triennale and Kosmorama are pleased to invite you to a film screening and the launch of the catalogue for the 2025 triennial.
The Hannah Ryggen Triennale (HRT) is organized by the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum in Trondheim in honor of Hannah Ryggen (1894–1970). Each edition of the triennial is held in collaboration with other actors in the arts and culture field in and around Trondheim, showcasing a selection of Ryggen’s works alongside contemporary art and craft that connect to specific aspects of her artistic practice.
As a preview of the triennial opening on April 4, there will be screenings of the SVT documentary Hannah Ryggen – BILDVÄVERSKA from 1963 and the film A água é uma máquina do tempo (Water is a Time Machine) by Brazilian artist Aline Motta. Both films will be shown in the exhibitions at Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum and Trondheim Kunstmuseum, respectively, during the triennial. The catalog includes texts by Vigdis Hjorth and the curators, as well as an interview with the triennial’s artist-in-residence, Márjá Karlsen.
The triennial catalogue and films will be introduced by Ingrid Lunnan, Director of the Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum and Acting Director of Trondheim Kunstmuseum.
The event will take place on March 22 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at K-U-K (Kjøpmannsgata Ung Kunst).
